I feel like Duolingo could easily remain competitive if they added these features into Duolingo, and I also do not feel like it would be in any way impossible for Duolingo to add these features into Duolingo. Namely in that it has tips and notes in-app and flashcard reviews (While also being completely free). TL DR Version: A new app was released that teaches East Asian Languages in a Duolingo style (Lingodeer), but does so in ways that are significantly better than Duolingo is currently capable of. I highly suggest you read the full review though and give it an upvote on the discussions if you agree!
